COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS OF THE SCHOOL OFFICE:

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS SICK AND WON’T BE IN SCHOOL? Please call the school before9:00 am and let the school know that your student will not be in school and why.  Please include the illness symptoms.

WHAT DOES A NO BUS DAY MEAN?  This is a day that West Bloomfield does not have school, but OLR does.  You will be responsible for bringing your bus rider to school and pick them up at the end of the day.  NO AM BUSES means that West Bloomfield has a late start, so no buses in the morning but there ARE buses in the afternoon.  Bus riders are dropped off and picked up on the school office side of the building.

MONTHLY BLUE FOLDER:  Each month a monthly packet is sent home with the youngest student in your family.  In that packet will be the most updated calendar and information about the coming month.  The school web site calendar is also kept updated.  If a last minute change is made, a notice will be emailed home.

EMAIL NOTICES:  If you would like to receive school update emails, and haven’t been yet this year, please email Mrs. Richards at drichards@olr-school.net and let her know you would like to be put on the email parent group.

WHAT IS A MISSION JEAN DAY?  Mission Jean Day is usually the last Friday of the month and your student may wear jeans, tennis shoes and usually the OLR gym shirt or Spiritwear on that day.  The students are to each bring in a $1 for a specific mission to wear jeans.  There may be special occasions that the students may wear jeans, i.e. Pep Rally, College, Tiger, Red Wings – all announced by Mr. Pyles.  You will be notified of these special occasions by email and school announcements.
