Mr. Robert Pyles, Principal of Our Lady of Refuge School, is pleased to announce that Mrs. Julie Reed is joining the school faculty as a Language Arts Teacher.
Mrs. Julie Reed received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in language arts from Michigan State University. She has been teaching middle school language arts and science in the Catholic school system for the past five years. Mrs. Reed also taught a self-contained fourth grade classroom for one year. To continue her education, she is currently working on a master’s degree in educational studies through Oakland University.
As a child, Mrs. Reed attended St. Anne Elementary and Regina High School. She is originally from Sterling Heights and recently moved to Troy. Mrs. Reed lives with her husband and one year old daughter, Catherine. In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
